Hints of ‘balanced policy’as top Japan commander visits Cambodi

Japan’s top military commander General Yamazaki Koji started a two-day official visit to Cambodia on April 28, 2022 which analysts said marked a shift towards a balanced foreign policy. 





General Koji, Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces will hold talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen and Defense Minister Tea Banh. 




He will also hold bilateral talks with General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and pay a courtesy call on Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Commander-in-Chief of the Army.

TV5 Selects Freshie Girls and Boys 2009

BY BUTH REAKSMEY KONGKEA Ten Cambodian teenagers, five girls and five boys, were selected as “Cambodian Freshie Girls and Boys” for 2009. The “Freshie Girls and Boys” competition took place on March 30 at the TV5’s station in Phnom Penh and was organized by the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces’ Television Channel 5 (TV5). Bun Kert, Director of the “Freshie Girls and Boys Organizational Committee” of the TV5, said more than 1,000 Cambodian youth applied for the competition, but through many different phases of the competition, only 20 girls and boys who reached the final round on March 30. Cambodia and India Expand Trade and Economic Ties

BY BUTH REAKSMEY KONGKEA The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Republic of India have made a joint announcement that the two-old friend countries will continue to expand the most Indochina Cambodia and India trade and economic ties in the future. Announcement was made by the visiting Indian President Her Excellency Pratibha Devisingh Patil and His Excellency Dr. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia during the India-Business Meeting on September 15th at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Phnom Penh.
