The Most Updated ICT Solutions Launched

In order to provide the most updated Information Communications and Technologies (ICTs) solutions, InterFlex and DEAM Computer International Pte Ltd have launched their partnerships in selling the most updated development of their ICT technology products and ICT solutions in Cambodia.

The announcement of the InterFlex and DEAM partnership was made at a press conference which was organized by Deam Computer, Interflex, Symantec, LSI and Sun of Oracle Cambodia on April 22 in Phnom Penh.

Diep Ho Seng, Chief Executive Officer of the InterFlex, said that Interflex 100 percent local ICT system integrator company who can provide the world class enterprise solution and specializing in ORACLE Technology, core banking system and related systems.

InterFlex works very closely with ORACLE and Oracle Financial Software Services, previously known as I-Flex has implemented two international level core banking systems in Cambodia, namely National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and PRASAC Micro Finance Institution. They both went live early this year, he said, adding that Interflex is the only local ICT Company which implementer capacity and skills in Cambodia.
Basically, SUN is now a part of ORACLE and InterFlex is very focus on Oracle so SUN is also in central of our focus. Actually, just before ORACLE required SUN, we are looking for a world best hardware branch that can work with to give our customers a one-stop solutions since our customers were always asking for it,” he told reporters at the press conference.

He pointed out that this event shows ORACLE-SUN commitment to development of the Cambodia ICT sector. ORACLE and SUN technologies play a very important role in the enterprise ICT areas such as banking, telecommunications, and Government sectors. ORACLE is going to initiate ORACLE Academy in Cambodia to bring world class technology education to within Cambodian to reach so Cambodian young generation can gain world class ICT knowledge and skills to maximize their potential.

From my 30 years ICT experience starting from Australia to the Asian region, SUN is one of the world best hardware company,” he said. “Some unique characteristics about SUN such as CPU mixed speed and generation upgrading, where none of other vendors can provide and the big benefits to customers is an excellent investment protection,” he added.
He continued to say that InterFlex is very happy to involve with ORACLE-SUN in the market in Cambodia.

Kong Bunthy, Business Relation Manager of DEAM Computer International Pte Ltd, said that SUN is the unique of DEAM Computer and DEAM Computer Co., Ltd was established in 1996. He added that the DEAM’s ICT and server products were sold, worked and closely cooperated with Banking Mobile for example Vettiel Cambodia, Cadcomm and other banking institutions operating in Cambodia. ///

Sorn Elit, the Tallest Cambodian Taekwando Champion

He was speaking to The Southeast Asia Weekly on July 22. The Secretary General said that Sorn Elit, 22, is currently the best Taekwondo fighter in Cambodia. He has attended many competitions both at home and abroad and has achieved success in both fields. In 2008, he won the national heavyweight title in the Taekwondo championships. “I am very proud of Sorn Elit as he is the best fighter in Cambodia,” Samnang said. “I believe that he will continue to bring honor to the country, the sport and himself as he competes in still more competitions at home and in the international fighting arena. Chan Tra: Life of a Cambodian Traditional Tattoo Artist

Chan Tra was born in 1963 in Sihanouk province and has two sons and one daughter. He is an orphaned and a Survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime.
